A Word In Season (Part 57): Fifteen Radical Truths The Mighty Must Know (No. 2)
“From now on, every believer is defined by Christ, every believer is included in Christ. Mighty people have put off the old man and it’s desires. Mighty men are done with that old life. It’s like a filthy set of ill-fitting clothes you’ve stripped off and put in the fire. Now you’re dressed in a new wardrobe. Every item of your new way of life is custom-made by the Creator, with his label on it. All the old fashions are now obsolete.” (Colossians 3:9-11 MSG)
We continue with the fifteen radical truths the mighty must know lest you lose your standing of mightiness. Mighty men and women are redeemed, rooted and built up in Christ, their lives are hidden in Christ in God and they have put off the old man and put on the new man. Meditate on Truth No. 3 to Truth No. 6 below.
The Fifteen Radical Truths The Mighty Must Know (Contd)
3). Real mighty men and women are redeemed and forgiven of their sins through the blood of Jesus.
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” Ephesians 1:6-7 KJV
You were redeemed or bought with a precious and a costly price: the blood of Jesus. No matter how heinous or terrible your sins might be, they were washed away with His blood. A mindshift occurs when you know the truth. The truth you know is what will make you free. The truth referred to here is not the opposite of falsehood. It is the radical truth of the knowledge of the pre-existential, co-existential and self-existential Jesus Christ. May this radical truth about who we are in Christ change our world permanently in the name of Jesus Christ.
4). Mighty men and women are rooted and built up in Christ.
“Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith . . .” (Colossians 2:7)
You are planted and rooted in Christ. Jesus Christ is referred to as the Word in John 1:1. So, those who are rooted in Christ are rooted in Him through His Word. Fear and doubt have no place in and around your space. Understand that you are planted on the Rock.
5). Mighty men and women’s lives are hid with Christ in God.
[3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3
His word in you says you are engraved in His palms, highly fortified and indestructible. No one can take you out of the scene without your consent.
6). Mighty men and women have put off the old man with his deeds and have put on the new man in Christ.
[9] . . . , seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; [10] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Colossians 3:9-10 KJV
These radical truths are who you are and what you need to know for you to do mighty things on a daily basis. Selah!
Prayer Declarations
- O Lord, I am redeemed from sin and death and from the curse of the law. I shall not go back to them in Jesus’ name.
- I am rooted and built up in Christ, I refuse to be uprooted.
- My life is hidden in Christ in God, I am untouchable.
- I have put off the old man and its desires and have put on the new man. Help me Lord to be steadfast to the end.
