A Word In Season (Part 39) — Easter Series: 21 Irrefutable Benefits Of Being United With Christ (Part 1)
“For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. [27] And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. [28] There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. [29] And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.” Galatians 3:26-29 NLT
The true essence of the death and resurrection of Jesus is to enable those who receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour to be wholly united with Him. When we receive Christ, we literally swallow the Godhead who make their abode in us. We are the temple of the Living God. Easter celebration is a period for intense gratitude in worship even as we deeply meditate on and review the health status of our relationship with Christ. Go ahead and do it now.
21 Irrefutable Benefits Of Being United With Christ
Let’s look at 21 irrefutable benefits of being united with Christ below.
1). With Christ: Believers are now one spirit with Christ. 1 Corinthians 6:17 AMP
2). On Christ: Believers have put on Christ in baptism like one puts on a new clothe. Galatians 3:27
3). Equal status: Believers are now one in Christ, male or female, Jew or Gentile, slave or free. No segregation. Alleliua! Galatians 3:28
4). Equal access: Believing Gentiles now have equal and direct access in the realm of the Holy Spirit to come before the Father. Ephesians 2:17-18 TPT
5). New creation: Believers are recreated anew and given a fresh start. 2 Corinthians 5:17 MSG
6). Children’s status: Believers now have a status in Christ as children with all the rights as family members of the household of God. Ephesians 2:19 TPT
7). Abraham’s children: Believers are made the true children of Abraham. Galatians 3:29
8). Heirs of God: Believers have become heirs of God with entitlement to God’s covenant promise to Abraham and Israel. Galatians 3:29; Ephesians 2:12 NLT
9). Spiritual inheritance: Believers are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms as an inheritance from God. Ephesians 1:3, 11 NLT
10). Commonwealth of Israel: Believers are included in the citizenship and commonwealth of Israel. Ephesians 2:12 NLT
Go ahead and turn each point into a prayer point. Be encouraged to live. Live in the reality of redemption through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
