Topic: The Mystery Of Biblical Numerology

MEMORY VERSE
2 King 5:10
“And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.”

BIBLE READING
2 King 5:1-14

COMMENTARY

Beloved family and friends, It’s pertinent to note that numbers in the Bible convey deeper meanings with awesome symbolisms beyond mere literary imperatives.

For instance, numbers 3, 30, 5, 50, 7, 70, 12, 144 are particularly prominent in scriptures with profound relevance.

Number 3, shows trinitarian unity; 5 stands for grace; 7 stands for perfection; 12 conveys celestial balance (12 tribes of Israel, Jesus’ 12 disciples, 12 foundations of the new Jerusalem with 12 gates and 12 angels in Revelation 21:19-20).

In our passage today, there’s a prophetic accuracy and ecclesiastical acceleration imbedded in Prophet Elisha’s instructions to Naaman to go and wash in the River Jordan seven (7) times for him to be cleansed of his leprosy (2 Kings 5:10).

Naaman was a complete man in every respect except the leprosy, which was a minus. ” Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper” (2 Kings 5:1).

The word “but” is a conjunction of contrast that imports inadequacy or negativity to an otherwise, excellent narrative. Is there something that the enemy has used to tarnish or “blemish” your outstanding achievements?

You don’t need River Jordan. Just shout the Name of Jesus, 7 times and the blood of Jesus, 7 times, and YOU shall be whole again.

Continuing with the exposition on Biblical numerology, Jesus’ death and resurrection all happened within 3 days.

In John 2:19, “Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three (3) days, I will raise it up.” Here, He used the number 3 to underscore His death and resurrection.

King David used the number 7 to describe the perfect nature of God’s word.
“The words of the LORD are pure words: As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” (Psalm 12:6) Perfect purification of gold is at the seventh algorithm of temperature.

Prophet Isaiah prophesied that Jesus, the coming Messiah, shall be embodied by the seven Spirits of the Lord (Isaiah 11:1-2; Revelation 5:6).

Furthermore, the number seven connotes deliverance and liberation from bondage. “At the end of every seven years, thou shalt make a release. And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD’s release.” (Deuteronomy 15:1-2)
God decreed freedom for His people and You, “At the end of every seven years” (Deuteronomy 25:1).

The disciples understood the need for the 12th disciple after the betrayal and suicide of Judas Iscariot (Kerioth) (Acts 1:16-26).

Talking about 12, this year 2024, being the second twelfth year since AD 2000 shall be your year of balance, glorious foundation, and stability in Jesus’ Name.

David said, “The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me:” (Psalm 138:8a).

May the Lord perfect that which concerns you this year in Jesus’ Name.

I hereby decree and declare that all your debts, evil loads, satanic bondages, limitations, and evil labour are hereby cancelled and deleted by the authority in the efficacious blood of Jesus.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO

  1. Strive to be holy even as the Lord your God is holy (1 Peter 1:16).
  2. Aim to complete within this year, all your abandoned dreams and projects in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYERS

  1. This is my year of the Lord’s release from afflictions and infirmities in Jesus’ Name.
  2. I have been refined by the word of God, which I received today, in Jesus’ Name.
  3. O Lord, thank you for perfecting all that concerns me in Jesus’ Name.
  4. I’m liberated from every satanic bondage in my family line in Jesus’ Name.

Please, kindly share this Devotional. Thank you so much. God bless you. Amen!
