Topic: You Are Made Whole By Jesus’ Stripes (Part 3)
READ: Isaiah 53:1, 5 (KJV); 3 John 2 (AMP)
“Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? . . . But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed.”
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.”
MESSAGE
Beloved, God’s thought (plan) towards you from the foundation of the world is for you to have peace and not evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). Remember when human beings (Adam and Eve) were created, God gave them every other thing He has made for them to freely enjoy, except for the forbidden fruit (Genesis 2:15-17).
God’s plan for humans is for them to “prosper in every way” – body, soul, and spirit, but their fall from glory (into sin, disobedience) hindered it. Jesus Christ was crucified, broke His body, and shed His blood on the cross of Calvary to pay for sin; and as many as believe (this report) and receive Him are expected to return to the glorious life of prosperity and peace in the body, soul and spirit, just as it was in the garden of Eden.
Dear Christian, God expects you to “prosper in every way,” so be healed from everything that hinders godly prosperity and peace. Be healed from poor mental health such as ignorance and every symptom of depression. Be healed from poor physical (stature, body) health: don’t portray an ‘I don’t care attitude’ but imbibe good hygiene to avoid having a smelling body, mouth, environment, etc, as it irritates others and you loose favour.
Also, be healed from temperamental issues such as having a bad, short, or hot temper and being abusive. It’s important to note that this will deprive you of having favour with other human beings. More importantly, be healed from a contrary spiritual lifestyle. Jesus Christ is the only Saviour and Lord. Anyone or anything or any object or item or medium of worship outside Him is an error that will make you lose favour with God and lead to eternal destruction.
You are to increase (prosper) like Jesus Christ as it is written about Him in Luke 2: 52, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” You need to prayerfully study to increase your mental capacity (wisdom) in all fields of endeavour; do the same to increase your stature (physical aspects of life, body). Also, study to be sociable (with man) and know the ways of God through the Bible and prayer so that you will have favour with God and man. Since the price of sin has been paid by the death of Jesus Christ, God will do His part to ensure you have a complete welfare (prosperity) package.
Remember, you are healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ to increase in wisdom, stature, and in favour with God and man. You need to prayerfully study and work towards the positive increase of your endeavours and businesses in life. Don’t be lazy, but do everything righteously possible as you work towards achieving set goals. Ask and let God do His part to prosper the works of your hands in line with His will. God will do it because the price to get it done (your prosperity and peace) has been fully paid for by Jesus Christ.
PRAYER
My God and Father, thank you for your promise to prosper me in every way. As I believe and have your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, in my life and continue to pray and study (my academics, business, gospel ministry, etc), fulfil your promise and cause me to prosper and have peace as long as I live in Jesus’ name.

Mary was a member of the Greater Evangelism World Crusade (an international Christian organisation) for about a decade and became one of her pastors in Rumousi, Rivers State. She was ordained into Christian Ministry in 1996 and co-founded the Kings Gospel Ministry International Incorporated (also known as Total Gospel Church) and she is the Proprietress of Total Child Development School in Nigeria (a mission school).
Mary is consecrated and currently ministering specifically to the students in the Bayelsa Medical University and generally labouring in God’s vineyard as a conference speaker: building lives, especially of youths and women. She is married to Rev. Dr. John Emmanuel Ibrahim and their union is blessed with five children.
