Topic: Christ’s Anointing Teaches Your Children

READ: Isaiah 54:13 (KJV); 1 John 2:26-29 (MSG)

“And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.”

“I’ve written to warn you about those who are trying to deceive you. But they’re no match for what is embedded deeply within you—Christ’s anointing, no less! You don’t need any of their so-called teaching. Christ’s anointing teaches you the truth on everything you need to know about yourself and him, uncontaminated by a single lie. Live deeply in what you were taught.
And now, children, stay with Christ. Live deeply in Christ. Then we’ll be ready for him when he appears, ready to receive him with open arms, with no cause for red-faced guilt or lame excuses when he arrives.
Once you’re convinced that he is right and righteous, you’ll recognize that all who practice righteousness are God’s true children.”

MESSAGE

One major promise in the scripture is that all your “children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” This is so refreshing for Christian parents who know that the Bible in 2 Timothy 3:1-4 has said in the last days (which is now) children will become disobedient to parents, heady, unthankful, unholy, etc.

As a Christian parent, you have the responsibility to position your children early in life to be taught by God. It is only then, as the scripture says, “great shall be the peace of thy children.” Remember Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

It is important to note that as your children grow, you can not continue to police them all around or personally teach and guide them. It is worse in these last days (perilous times) when most lives are guided by the Internet and social media, controlled sometimes by people who don’t believe in Jesus Christ.

As a Christian parent, you must “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

You need to: pray and speak God’s word to the child from conception to delivery. And then start a discipleship program for the child in which you teach and guide him or her to believe and receive Christ Jesus as Lord and personal Saviour; teach him or her the ways of God, how to be baptised by immersion in water and in the Holy Spirit; how to be anointed by God; how to hear and obey Him, etc.

Continue these teachings (trainings) until he or she is ready to leave home for school, business, etc. At this point, the scripture says, “. . . he will not depart from it.” As the opening scripture puts it, the children will “. . . stay with Christ. Live deeply in Christ” and it will be difficult for anyone to deceive them. Christ’s anointing will teach them the truth on everything they need to know about themselves and Him, uncontaminated by a single lie out there in the world of Internet, social media, etc.

Dear Christian parents, start early to work on your children with prayers and God’s word. Position them well and early enough for God like baby Samuel in 1 Samuel 1 and 3. And they will have great peace as Christ’s anointing teaches your children.

PRAYER

My God and Father, thank you for your promise to teach my children through Christ’s anointing. As I continue to pray and teach them Your ways, empower their lives with the simple programme drawn out for them. Let them be saved and filled with Your Spirit and let Christ’s anointing continue to guide them in righteousness through life by His teachings in Jesus’ name. Amen!.
