Topic: Depart The Lands Of Exile (Part 3)

READ: Isaiah 52:10-11 (AMP); Psalm 1:1-2, 6 (KJV)

“The Lord has made bare His holy arm before the eyes of all the nations [revealing Himself as the One by Whose direction the redemption of Israel from captivity is accomplished], and all the ends of the earth shall witness the salvation of our God.
Depart, depart, go out from there [the lands of exile]! Touch no unclean thing! Go out of the midst of her [Babylon]; cleanse yourselves and be clean, you who bear the vessels of the Lord [on your journey from there].”

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night… For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

MESSAGE

Beloved, God is saying to you, His child, “Depart . . . [the lands of exile]! Touch no unclean thing! Go out of the midst of her [Babylon]; cleanse yourselves and be clean” mean you walk “not in the counsel of the ungodly.” It also means you stand not in the way of sinners, and sit in the seat of the scornful.

Anyone who has obeyed God’s command to depart the lands of exile will have his or her delight in the law of the LORD; and in his law, he will meditate day and night . . . a true Christian, living in righteousness: known by God as the scripture says, “For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous.”

Dear Christian, examine yourself today and always by checking your thoughts, desires, and actions. Check to know if you’ve departed the land of exile. If you always have strong desires to walketh according to the counsel of the ungodly, and stand in the way of sinners, or sitteth in the seat of the scornful: having full enjoyment and comfort with the unbelievers and sinners, then there is a strong indication that you have not departed the lands of exile. You need to be determined and prayerfully break away from these contrary lifestyles that are contrary to God’s will.

Child of God, spend quality time in prayer, studying the Bible, and in fellowship with seasoned Christians (1 Thessalonians 5:17; 2 Timothy 2:15 and Hebrews 10:25). By this, the flesh and its evil desires will be subdued and eventually crucified. This will be replaced with your love for God and His set righteous standard for living.

The true test that you’ve heeded God’s command to depart the lands of exile is in the right state of your thoughts (mind) and actions. Your delight will be “in the law of the LORD; and in his law. . .  meditate day and night.” You will seek to be, and remain, clean knowing that you “bear the vessels of the Lord.” No more hide and seek game in your Christian faith (journey) as it is written, “For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous.”

PRAYER

My God and Father, thank you for your words of admonition. Lord, God, grant me the hunger and thirst after your righteous word and ways. Let your word deliver me from being comfortable in sin and the desire of keeping sinful companies as you promised in Psalm 107:20. Lord, by You and Your direction alone the “redemption of Israel from captivity is accomplished,” direct me out of every form of captivity and let the imputed righteousness in me manifest from now until the end of the age in Jesus’ name. Amen!
