Topic: The Secret Of Happiness

MEMORY VERSE
Proverbs 15:15 KJV
“But he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.”

BIBLE READING
Proverbs 15:1-15

COMMENTARY
Blessed family and friends, Our memory verse today draws a comparison between a despondent heart and a merry heart. While the former leads to misery and wretchedness, the latter provokes continuous celebration. The New Living Translation renders that verse thus:

“For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.” (Proverbs 15:15).

So if you want to live long and celebrate every day of your life, adopt and maintain a Merry Heart attitude

Our memory verse today, written by King Solomon, unveils the secret of victorious living. “All the days of the afflicted are evil: But he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.” It means that even in times of affliction, inflation and insecurity as we have in the world now, one with a merry heart will escape the sudden death statistics.

Have you observed that carefree and cheerful people are always comfortable irrespective of the prevailing negative circumstances around them?

The secret of peace, healing, stress-free life and long life can be found in the following verses of scripture:
1). “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” (Proverbs 15:13)
2). “Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.” (Ecclesiastes 9:7).
3). “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: Make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.”(Psalm 98:4)
4. “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: But a broken spirit drieth the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22).

May the joy of the Lord, strengthen, revive and rejuvenate your life in Jesus Name. (Nehemiah 8:10).

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO
1. Celebrate life for the dead cannot praise God. (Psalm115:17; Isaiah 38:18)
2. Invest in making others happy and God will ensure your daily happiness.

PRAYERS
1. O Lord fill my heart with your unspeakable joy in Jesus’ Name.
2. Every enemy of my comfort, be discomfited in Jesus’ Name.
3. My life, touch, and transform lives in the valley of despair in Jesus’ Name.
4. Wings of joy and glory locate me now in Jesus’ Name.

Please, kindly share this Devotional. Thank you so much. God bless you. Amen!
