Topic: Living Water For The Thirsty Soul (Part 5)
READ: Isaiah 44:2-4 (KJV); Romans 1:28-32 (MSG)
“Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour
water upon him that is thirsty, and
will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.”
“Since they didn’t bother to acknowledge God, God quit bothering them and let them run loose. And then all hell broke loose: rampant evil, grabbing and grasping, vicious backstabbing. They made life hell on earth with their envy, wanton killing, bickering, and cheating. Look at them: mean-spirited, venomous, fork-tongued God-bashers. Bullies, swaggerers, insufferable windbags! They keep inventing new ways of wrecking lives. They ditch their parents when they get in the way. Stupid, slimy, cruel, cold-blooded. And it’s not as if they don’t know better. They know perfectly well they’re spitting in God’s face. And they don’t care—worse, they hand out prizes to those who do the worst things best!”
MESSAGE
Beloved, the background of every evil and sinful thirst (desire) is not knowing God. And not knowing God means not knowing how to live as humans on Earth. God Who created everything out of LOVE has provided the manual (The Bible) that states how humans should live (and behave) on Earth. Operating outside His will (prescription) revealed in the Bible is living in LUST, and not in His LOVE.
Many, though professing Christians, have refused to acknowledge God and His prescription for living as recorded in His manual, the Bible. The opening scripture says, “Since they didn’t bother to acknowledge God, God quit bothering them and let them run loose. And then all hell broke loose: rampant evil, grabbing and grasping, vicious backstabbing. They made life hell on earth with their envy, wanton killing, bickering, and cheating. The world says, “If you can’t beat them, join them”, and Christians are unfortunately “joining them” in their sinful (evil) lust. Repent! As it is written, “They know perfectly well they’re spitting in God’s face. And they don’t care—worse, they hand out prizes to those who do the worst things best!”
Dear Christian, DON’T JOIN THIS LIFE OF LUST as it’s written, they’ve “made life hell on earth with their envy, wanton killing, bickering, and cheating. Look at them: mean-spirited, venomous, fork-tongued God-bashers. Bullies, swaggerers, insufferable windbags! They keep inventing new ways of wrecking lives. They ditch their parents when they get in the way. Stupid, slimy, cruel, cold-blooded. And it’s not as if they don’t know better.”
Always remember that if you compromise your righteous stance, hell may break loose on you and there will be no difference between you and the child of the devil and your final destination may be the same as theirs, hell.
Come to Jesus Christ, the giver of living water and drink to quench and flush out every lust (that is leading to “. . . envy, wanton killing, bickering, and cheating…”, etc) in you. This way, you can live to manifest God’s LOVE. Remember, He said, “If you love me, keep my commandment.”
PRAYER
My God and Father, thank You for Your words of admonition. Lord, God, keep me by Your power and deliver me from the temptation of joining the world in their way of life that is full of lust. Give me your living water today as always to drink. Help me, Lord God, to stay afloat in Your LOVE on earth as long as I live in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Mary was a member of the Greater Evangelism World Crusade (an international Christian organisation) for about a decade and became one of her pastors in Rumousi, Rivers State. She was ordained into Christian Ministry in 1996 and co-founded the Kings Gospel Ministry International Incorporated (also known as Total Gospel Church) and she is the Proprietress of Total Child Development School in Nigeria (a mission school).
Mary is consecrated and currently ministering specifically to the students in the Bayelsa Medical University and generally labouring in God’s vineyard as a conference speaker: building lives, especially of youths and women. She is married to Rev. Dr. John Emmanuel Ibrahim and their union is blessed with five children.
